How to Choose Travel Agency Software in Bangladesh (2026 Checklist)
A practical checklist for choosing travel agency management software in Bangladesh: GDS capture, WhatsApp, visa and manpower files, accounts, cost.

Start with what your desk actually does
Most agencies in Bangladesh sell more than air tickets. A typical desk also files Saudi and Kuwait work visas, manpower clearances, tourist visas, Hajj and Umrah packages and hotel bookings. Software that only covers ticketing leaves the rest of the business in a spreadsheet, and the money from both never meets in one set of books.
Before you look at any product, write down every service you bill for and how many of each you handle in a month. That list is your test: a system either covers every line on it, or it does not.
1. Does the ticket arrive by itself?
Ask whether tickets issued in Galileo, Sabre and Amadeus are captured automatically the moment they are issued — not imported from a file at night. Ask to see it live with your own GDS.
Ask what happens to Q Share and consolidator tickets, and to reissues, refunds and voids. These are where retyping causes the most mistakes, and where demos are usually thinnest.
2. Does the client get the document without anyone sending it?
In Bangladesh the client reads WhatsApp, not email. Check that invoices, money receipts and statements go to the client's WhatsApp as a branded PDF, automatically or in one click, and that the same PDF is what you download.
Check that due reminders and flight reminders run on a schedule you set once.
3. Are the visa and manpower files real workflows?
A Saudi work visa moves through medical (Wafid), MOFA, finger and Takamul, Okala and the embassy; manpower needs BMET clearance and training. Ask whether each stage is tracked per passenger, whether passports can be scanned instead of typed, and whether the client is told automatically when a stage completes.
Ask whether a delivery or return of passports produces a receipt the client signs.
4. Are the accounts double-entry, or just a cash log?
Many systems call a list of payments "accounts". Real accounts mean a chart of accounts, a general ledger, a trial balance, profit and loss and a balance sheet that all come from the same entries the sales were recorded with.
Ask how client dues and vendor payables are calculated. They should be all-time balances from the ledger, not a figure that changes with the date filter.
5. Can you trust it with your data?
Ask where the data is stored, how often it is backed up, whether a backup has ever been restored in a test, and whether each staff member has their own login and permissions with an audit trail.
Ask what happens to deleted records. A recycle bin that restores a whole file is worth more than it sounds.
6. What does it really cost?
Compare the monthly price with the hours your staff spend retyping tickets, building invoices and chasing dues by phone. Ask whether there is a free trial on your own data, whether the price is in taka, and whether you can export everything if you leave.
A useful rule: if a system saves one staff member two hours a day, it pays for itself many times over at Bangladeshi salary levels.
Where Agency Automation BD fits
Agency Automation BD was built for exactly this list: automatic Galileo, Sabre and Amadeus capture, WhatsApp delivery of every document, Saudi, Kuwait, manpower, tourist visa, Hajj and Umrah workflows, and full double-entry accounts — in one system with a 14-day free trial and prices in BDT.
It may be more than you need if you only sell a handful of tickets a month and keep no accounts; in that case a spreadsheet may still be enough.
Frequently asked
What is the best travel agency software in Bangladesh?
The best one is the one that covers every service your agency bills for in one set of books. Check GDS auto-capture, WhatsApp delivery, visa and manpower workflows and real double-entry accounts. Agency Automation BD covers all four.
Do I need my own IATA to use travel agency software?
No. Agencies that issue through a consolidator (Q Share) can record the sale, the consolidator cost and the service fee, and reconcile the consolidator's statement.
How long does it take to move an agency onto new software?
With Agency Automation BD most agencies are running the same day: add clients and vendors, connect the GDS capture program and WhatsApp, and start issuing.
